The Hotel Totem opened its doors in December 2015. It is ideally located in a “ski-in ski-out” location in Flaine Forum, directly opposite the resort’s Picasso Totem and incorporates the resort’s style into the hotel décor. 

Guests are invited to use the wellness area (at a fee), which includes a fitness room, outdoor Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and relaxation area that extends onto the outdoor terrace and offers spectacular views. There’s also the Pure Altitude Spa, which offers treatments and massages using their signature alpine products.

There’s a welcoming hotel bar and a restaurant offering a range of dining options including traditional Savoie and Italian-inspired cuisine. Plus there’s a ski shop on-site to see to any equipment needs.

Things to consider

• Nightlife is centred around two or three really good bars close to the hotel.
• Flaine is not a “pretty Alpine village” but more of a convenient, snow sure, modern ski resort.
• The Classic Forum rooms are on the small side and quite simple but lots of room upgrades are available.
